Solar panel installation in Anantapur
Origian Power is a solar company in Anantapur with a local office at Indira Gandhi Nagar and finished rooftop projects in the town. Homes, a hospital and nearby businesses already run on systems it built.
A solar company in Anantapur, with an office in the town
You can walk into Origian’s Anantapur office at 18-5, Indira Gandhi Nagar, Papampeta, Anantapur – 515004. It opens from 7am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 9am to 5pm on Sunday. Take your last few electricity bills with you; they are the starting point for any sizing conversation.
Anantapur is one of two cities where Origian keeps an office. The other is Hyderabad, where it has two. The company began operating in 2020, and since then it has finished more than 300 installations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, totalling over 2,000 kW. The Anantapur projects listed below are part of that count, not additions to it.
Nine people run Origian: two managing partners, two heads of sales, a head technician, two staff who look after documentation and finance, and two in the office.
Solar installations completed in Anantapur
Before choosing a solar company in Anantapur, check what it has already built in the town itself, not just across the state. Origian has four confirmed installation records in Anantapur, finished between 2023 and 2025.

Three of the four are homes: two 8 kW systems, from 2023 and 2024, and a 3 kW system from 2025. The fourth is a 38 kW system on a hospital, commissioned in 2024. Between them they cover a small family roof and a building that needs power through the night as well as the day.
Nearby project experience
Origian has also built just outside the town. These two projects are nearby, not in Anantapur itself:

The Tadipatri project is a 6 kW home system. The Mamillapalli project is a 55 kW commercial installation, the largest in Origian’s recorded list. Both were completed in 2025.
Customer names are withheld on every record, on the same anonymised basis as the wider history on Origian’s projects page. All six projects connect to the grid through APSPDCL, the electricity distribution company for this area.
What Anantapur roofs actually generate
Origian’s generation figures come from its own systems in this region rather than a national average. Measured across its installed base in the Anantapur (APSPDCL) area, each kilowatt of panels produces roughly 1,550 to 1,600 units a year.
Per month, that works out to about 400 units from a 3 kW system and about 650 from a 5 kW system. Output runs higher in the dry months and lower in the monsoon. Treat those numbers as averages over a full year, not a forecast for any single bill.
Over a whole year, the same rate gives a 3 kW system roughly 4,650 to 4,800 units and a 5 kW system roughly 7,750 to 8,000. Those yearly totals line up with the monthly averages above, which is a useful cross-check when an installer quotes a generation figure. A number well above that range for the same size deserves a question about how it was worked out.
To put the figures to work, average twelve months of your own consumption. A home using around 400 units a month sits close to a 3 kW system, and one using around 650 sits close to 5 kW. The site survey then checks shade, roof space and the cable route before the size is fixed.
The rooftop savings calculator asks for your nearest city and adjusts its estimate to match. Choose Anantapur, enter your bill or your monthly units, and it suggests a size to bring to the survey.
Approximate solar system price in Anantapur
Origian’s gross price for a rooftop system runs from ₹1,10,000 for 1 kW to ₹6,40,000 for 10 kW; a typical 3 kW home system is ₹2,30,000 – ₹2,60,000. These prices are before any government subsidy, and whether a particular system qualifies for one depends on the scheme’s own rules and your DISCOM. Your exact price depends on your roof and the equipment you choose, and is confirmed in a written quotation after a free site survey.
See price per kW and expected units for every size in our solar system price guide, or what’s actually inside an Origian installation.
Solar panel price in Anantapur: what the quotation covers
The ranges above are Origian’s gross prices before any government subsidy, and they are identical on all of its city pages. An Anantapur quotation also covers the net-metering application and Origian’s dealings with APSPDCL. There is no separate charge for that paperwork.
Inside each range, the site sets the figure. A survey records the roof type, how high the frame must be raised, and the distance from panels to inverter to meter. It also records the brands you pick. Longer cable runs and a raised structure push the price up; a short run on an open RCC roof keeps it down.
Origian commits to a final price only in a written quotation, issued after a free site survey. When you compare quotations from different installers, line them up on the same terms: identical capacity, named panel and inverter brands, and whether the net-metering work is included or extra.
Paying in instalments does not change the sequence. Origian’s fifth stage is the advance payment or the loan processing, whichever applies to you. The solar EMI calculator works from your bill, the loan period, the down payment and your lender’s interest rate.
The solar system price guide lists the price per kW and the expected monthly units for every size from 1 kW to 10 kW.
Origian’s published savings figure is “typically up to 95% reduction in electricity bills.” How close a household gets depends on how much of its own use the system covers, which is exactly what the survey and the sizing above are for.
Subsidy eligibility turns on each scheme’s rules and on your DISCOM. Origian therefore quotes the full price and keeps any subsidy out of the figure it asks you to compare.
Rooftop solar for Anantapur homes
Origian’s three Anantapur home systems are 3 kW and 8 kW. The spread mirrors how differently households use power. By the measured rate of 1,550 to 1,600 units per kilowatt a year, an 8 kW system yields about 1,030 to 1,070 units a month, which suits a large house or one running several air-conditioners.
Space is usually the next question. Standard modules need roughly 80 to 100 square feet of roof per kilowatt, so a 3 kW system wants about 240 to 300 square feet of unshaded roof and an 8 kW system about 640 to 800.
On a flat RCC roof, Origian mounts the panels on a raised frame tilted at 10 to 15 degrees. Before the survey, collect a year of bills if you can. The highest summer bill shows your peak, and the yearly average shows what to size for.
Commercial and hospital solar in Anantapur
The biggest Origian project inside the town is the 38 kW hospital system, finished in 2024. Close by, in Mamillapalli, Origian commissioned a 55 kW commercial installation in 2025.
At the measured rate for this region, a 38 kW system produces roughly 4,900 to 5,070 units a month. For a hospital, most of that is used on site during the day, because the building’s demand never drops to zero.
Hospitals come up often in Origian’s work. Apart from the Anantapur hospital, its records include hospital systems of 17 kW, 24 kW and 38 kW elsewhere in its service area, completed in 2023 and 2024. They are not Anantapur projects. They do show that the company has sized systems for buildings that cannot switch off at night.
A commercial survey starts from three things: the sanctioned load on the connection, the usable roof or shed area, and the hours when the premises draws most of its power. A business that works mainly in daylight uses more of its own solar output directly.
Before a meeting, the commercial capacity calculator estimates what a roof or shed can carry. The commercial solar ROI calculator models payback. The solar accelerated depreciation calculator shows the effect of depreciation; check the tax position with your accountant.
Solar panel installation in Anantapur, step by step
An Origian installation moves through nine stages. The whole sequence typically takes 10 to 15 days. APSPDCL’s approval and synchronisation are not in Origian’s hands, though, and can add time.
First meeting
A conversation about how rooftop solar works and what it would mean for your bill. Have a recent bill to hand.
Site visit
Origian’s team inspects the roof, notes shade from tanks, trees or walls, and plans where the inverter and cables will go.
Quotation
You receive a written quotation for the capacity and brands the site supports, and the price is fixed at this point.
Document collection
After you confirm the order, Origian gathers the paperwork APSPDCL needs for the application.
Advance or loan
The advance is paid, or loan processing is completed if the system is being financed.
Installation
The frame, panels, inverter, protection boxes and earthing go in.
APSPDCL documentation and approval
Origian submits the net-metering application to APSPDCL and follows it up until approval.
Synchronisation
Once APSPDCL approves, the net meter goes in and the system is synchronised with the grid.
Switch-on
The system goes live, and exported units begin to show on your APSPDCL bill.
Stages seven and eight involve APSPDCL as well as Origian. Approval is not automatic. Its timing decides whether a project finishes inside the typical 10 to 15 days.
Built for storms, lightning and long service
Origian expects a typical system to keep working for 25 years or more. Over that span, the weak points are seldom the panels. They are rust, loose bolts, leaks and lightning.
Take rust first. The mounting frame is hot-dip galvanised steel and every structural bolt is stainless. Each cable end is sealed under heat-shrink tubing, so moisture cannot creep along the conductor.
Wind comes next. Origian rates its structure to 150 km/h. On flat roofs the frame is raised and tilted between 10 and 15 degrees, and each fixing uses two square washers and a spring washer. The spring washer keeps tension on the bolt as gusts move the frame, so fixings do not slowly back out.
Lightning is handled in two layers. A lightning arrestor gets an earth pit of its own, apart from the equipment earth. Separately, 80 metres of 6 sq mm copper cable bonds every frame, every enclosure and the inverter to earth. Surge protection devices on the DC and AC sides catch voltage spikes before they reach the inverter. The DC and AC distribution boards are Siemens or Finder units fitted with a 25A MCCB.
Water is the slow threat to any roof. Origian seals each anchor point and roof penetration with bonding and sealant agents. Cables travel inside UPVC conduit, out of reach of sun, rain and rodents.
Connections carry the current, so a loose or corroded one costs generation. Origian fits Stäubli-grade MC4 connectors on every DC joint and pin-type lugs at every MCB. The cable is Polycab or an equivalent brand: 4 sq mm on the DC side, 4 sq mm two-core on the AC side, and 6 sq mm copper for earthing.
Each of these parts, explained one by one, is on the page about what’s inside an Origian installation.
Panels, inverters and warranties
Origian chooses from four panel makers, Renewsys, Adani, Waaree and Tata, and three inverter makers, Growatt, Solis and Goodwe. The choice moves the price within each band, so have the brand and model written into your quotation.
Each part of the system carries its own cover:
- Solar panels: a 10-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty.
- Inverter: typically 5 to 10 years; the length depends on the brand.
- Origian’s installation work: a 5-year workmanship warranty.
The workmanship cover is Origian’s own promise about how the system was put together. The product and performance warranties come from the panel maker, and the inverter warranty from the inverter maker.
To make a claim, phone Origian. A technician comes out, checks the system and fixes the problem. There is no form to complete.
APSPDCL and net metering
Every installation Origian has recorded in and around Anantapur is associated with APSPDCL, the electricity distribution company serving the area. That covers the four Anantapur projects and the nearby Tadipatri and Mamillapalli systems.
Net metering lets your system send unused daytime power into the grid. The net meter records the units you import and the units you export, and your bill settles the two under APSPDCL’s net-metering rules.
After switch-on, your bill shows two readings where it used to show one: units imported from the grid and units exported to it. Origian’s guide to import and export units explains how to read both, including why a home can import more units than it exports and still have a working system.
Origian files the net-metering application with APSPDCL and handles the follow-up until the system is synchronised. You do not have to do it yourself, and the work is part of the quoted price. Approval rests with APSPDCL, so Origian cannot promise a date for it.
Maintenance after installation
Dust builds up on panels in the dry months and lowers output until it is washed off. Under an annual maintenance contract, Origian visits every three months. If you report a fault between visits, it responds within 48 hours.
Your bills make a simple monitor. If exported units drop well below the same month last year, ask for a check. The annual maintenance page has the contract details.
